University of Wisconsin–Madison

About

We believe technology is most powerful when it serves people

The College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence prepares students, advances interdisciplinary research, and creates new knowledge that informs how technology is designed, developed, and used for the public good.

Building on the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s longstanding strengths in computing, statistics, and information science, the college creates new opportunities for collaboration across disciplines — connecting ideas and expertise to address complex challenges and create lasting public impact for Wisconsin and beyond.

Our history

The College of Computing & Artificial Intelligence builds on the foundation established by the School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences, which united computing disciplines within the College of Letters & Science from 2019 to 2026.
